The Fourth workshop on Application of PCR and RT-PCR in clinical Diagnosis was held between 20th to 25th May 2002 with Dr. Parag P Sadhale, Dept. of Microbiology and Cell Biology (MCBL), IISc as the coordinator and Mr.Vijender Singh and Mr.Rajkumar Sunanda Singh of MCBL, IISc as Demonstrators.

Practical sessions including demonstrations and hands on training for the following techniques were held in the afternoon

1. Extraction of genomic DNA from blood, PCR amplification and subsequent analysis of the PCR.
2. Extraction of total RNA from blood, one step RT-PCR and subsequent analysis of the assay.
